The Foundation is consistently working to provide resources that effectively support our students - with our current focus on funding what is most needed during remote learning.  Thanks to the generosity of donations provided by our community, below is a snapshot of what we accomplished together during the 2019-2020 school year. The Foundation remains committed to providing resources that support students both inside and outside the classroom.  As such, while many programs look a different during remote learning, they continue to be available to support students.

  • After-school Homework Help: students received one-to-one help from teachers almost 7,000 times during after-school homework labs.
  • Food Aid: More than 9400 free breakfasts and snacks were provided to students to help them be ready to learn.
  • Art: More than 134 volunteer art docents received training and lesson plans, giving them tools to teach innovative art classes in elementary schools
  • STEM: Funding gave over 640 students across the district an opportunity for hands on STEM learning in various STEM clubs including Robotics, Engineering, Rocketry, and Chemistry clubs, Aerospace Initiative, Science Olympiad, and more.
  • Tools for School: Over 1,000 students in need received free backpacks filled with school supplies to help them be prepared for the school year.
  • Cultural Bridges:  This program offered 90 one-to-one sessions with families (in eight languages) and 548 individuals have attended events to help them navigate the school system.
  • Grants: The Foundation awarded 23 grants to teachers and staff to support projects that enrich education, fill unmet needs, and /or serve as innovation in education.
