There are lots of questions about different places that ask for money for seemingly overlapping missions. Here is a breakdown of three important organizations which each have different valid uses of their funds raised.

Issaquah Schools Foundation - The Foundation funds programs for all 26 schools in the district, enriching the lives of almost 20,000 students.   These programs include academic support and funding for fine arts classes and robotics clubs, to basics like food and backpacks. Gibson Ek has been the recipient of numerous ISF Foundation grants over the school's short lifetime. ISF's programs help students throughout the district build academic foundations, explore limitless opportunities, and launch successfully into the future.  https://isfdn.org/our-purpose

Gibson Ek PTSA -  The GE PTSA funds activities and broad-based grants for the students, teachers, and parents of the high school.   These activities include; the freshman welcome event, staff appreciation events,  parent information and connection nights, senior graduation celebration events, and many other key activities that are approved by the GE Staff.  In the past, we have also helped fund fine arts activities, the robotics team, the gardening club, and other groups with wide student appeal.  Our programs help Gibson Ek students build academic foundations, explore limitless opportunities, and launch successfully into the future. Gibson Ek Foundation - The GE Foundation's only purpose is to build an endowment fund to support project-based learning.  Without these funds, students would not be able to reach their academic goals as funds are limited by state budgets.  This Fund has a three-year goal to raise $500,000 so that the funds will grow and support the school in perpetuity.  Our programs help Gibson Ek students build academic foundations, explore limitless opportunities, and launch successfully into the future.  https://www.gibsonekfoundation.org
